A founder of the band and principle writer, Ron started
his career as a classical violinist, but the love of Rock n Roll took over and
he focused on the guitar. In high school, he played in a rival band to Antony called Leftovers.
They were heavy like crazy and had a good run with their album. They played
among bands with the likes of Slick Toxic, Razor, and Stu Hamm (Joe Satrianis
bass player).
Ron was always a good listener, he listened more to the
song than the flashy guitar licks. Although I love whaling solos, the song is
the main emphasis. If the tune requires
a short solo Ill put one in, but not because it just needs one.
After his band Leftovers broke up, Ron
was looking for a gig and it was at the same time that Antonys band also
split up. Given that they were probably the most talented in their area, they decided
to team up and start a local Super-Group. This is when JUICe was formed.
Ron and Antony continue to write and
perform together today. And like all best friends, they have their bouts, but nothing
ever stands in the way of their music. When it comes to business, Ron is
married first to his guitar, then to his band.
Shortly after JUICes beginning, the
band opened for Motley Crue, and as Ron explains Being a fan of the band is
one thing, meeting the band is another, but sharing the stage with them is the
impossible becoming possible. Ron lives for the big venues but never lets the
fans down even in the smallest of clubs. If you are in front of Ron at any
JUICe show, be prepared to get your head ripped off from his organic riffs and blending
tones.
Ron = JUICe, JUICe=Ron
